Projects from Norden have featured in this years Rochdale in Bloom competition and have contributed to the gold medal success of the Township.
Entry to the competition, which is organised by the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society), is organised by a group of community-based volunteers who put together a feature packed route each year, including: parks, schools, allotments, planting projects, cummunity initiatives, recycling and 'eco' projects.
This year features from Norden included Jubilee Park and Moss Row Allotments along with hanging baskets put up by local retailers and the rockery planer at the bottom of Elmsfield Avenue.
This years entry was the best on record with not just a gold award in the North West in Bloom category to show for the townships efforts, but an invitation to take part in the national Britain in Bloom competition in 2018. An accolade never before received by the township and one which goes to show just how impressive our township is.
